Speaker

Nigel has a highly engaging, enthusiastic and entertaining style. He speaks all over the world on Leadership and Performance.

Nigel is equally at home as a key note on conference platforms or presenting to boards and small groups. He has spoken at dinners, in schools, and in companies. His audiences have ranged from entrepreneurs, directors, sixth formers, military, bankers. MBAs, NGOs, charities, investors, and has appeared as guest speaker at both Oxford and Cambridge Universities.

Nigel’s leadership and performance speaking is grounded in his own experience of leading both in business and in the voluntary sector. He draws extensively on his personal experience on boards and of chairing six companies, his mentoring of hundreds of leaders, mainly CEOs and MDs, as well as his work in leadership consultancy.

Nigel also has a lifelong love of history, and in leaders of the past. He draws out modern leadership lessons from interesting and entertaining stories from history. He has published two history books about his grandfathers which he speaks about. One based in the Army in World War One and the other in the Royal Air Force in World War Two. In addition, he has been fascinated in the leadership of Admiral Nelson, after whom he named his social impact business, Nelsonspirit.
